Can you share examples/cases/projects of employing OT functionality of XML export of the ORM Source Model meta-model information?Where it can be used (more)? Which tools support/can use/import such export? Does this export employ XML/XMI format, i.e. format in which all other UML-conformant and UML-compliant tools can export and import models?

It is done by VEA.
Visio Professional, however, supports ER modeling (but not ORM) except it has no forward engineering functionality. Thus, that XSLT was created to users could at least create a basic schema. It's been quite popular.
